EXL is hiring Surgery Coding - Manager

Job Title: Coding Manager

Location: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon, Kochi, Noida

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Paramedical field
• CPC certification
• LSBB certification (preferred)
• CPMA certification (added advantage)
• 13-15 years of coding experience, including 5+ years in IVR coding (cardiovascular surgery, and general surgery, complex level IVR coding)
• 5+ years of coding experience
• 3+ years in a Team Lead role
• 5+ years in an Assistant Manager role
• Experience in managing QA teams

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in coding
• Demonstrate strong team handling skills
• Manage inventory and plan resources effectively
• Motivate and guide the team to achieve production and quality goals
• Follow project-related protocols and instructions
• Address team clarifications proactively
• Exhibit problem-solving skills
• Conduct research on grey areas and provide solutions
• Conduct team education and training sessions
• Address client emails and queries efficiently
• Display strong analytical skills
• Foster innovation, energy, and positive thinking within the team
• Motivate team members effectively
• Escalate issues and identify trends
• Ensure prompt responses to emails from the Manager
• Ensure team compliance with HIPAA and OIG regulations
