Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer with advanced SQL capabilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, as well as advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze data requirements and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.

Design, develop, and implement interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI based on business requirements.
Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support Power BI reports and other business intelligence needs.
Create and manage Power BI data models, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into meaningful, actionable reports and visualizations.
Perform performance tuning of Power BI reports and SQL queries to ensure smooth and fast data retrieval.
Integrate Power BI reports with other data sources, including third-party applications and APIs.
Maintain and support existing Power BI reports and dashboards, troubleshooting issues and making improvements as needed.
Work closely with data engineers, architects, and other teams to ensure the seamless flow of data from source systems to BI tools.
Provide training and support to business users on Power BI features and best practices.
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are followed in report development and data handling.
Stay current with new Power BI features and best practices, recommending and implementing improvements.

Experience : 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and SQL-based reporting.

Power BI Expertise : Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power BI administration.

SQL Skills : Strong command of SQL, including advanced querying, stored procedures, and database optimization techniques. Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or other relational databases is essential.

Data Modeling : Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques. Ability to design efficient and scalable data models in Power BI.

ETL Processes : Experience with data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and handling large datasets.

Business Acumen : Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Tuning : Experience with optimizing Power BI reports and queries for better performance.

Tools & Technologies : Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and other BI tools is a plus.

Collaboration & Communication : Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and effectively present data insights.

Problem Solving : Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certification in Power BI (Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent) is highly desirable.

Experience with cloud-based Power BI, particularly Power BI Embedded or Power BI in Azure environments.

Knowledge of other data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is a plus.
