Job Description
- Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales
- Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities
- Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices
What you'll do
- Drive development & implementation
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost &Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and DevOps teams to ensure better quality and stability of the application.
- Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle, starting from gathering requirements, development, testing, and code deployment to the production environment, ensuring that the design follows the specification.
- Participate in Scrum planning sessions, evaluate testing methodologies, and suggest new techniques to deliver high-quality features.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or masters Degree with 3-5 yrs. of experience in Computer Science or related field
- Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, etc
- Extensive experience building services using back-end technologies (Java, Spring, Jersey)
- Knowledge of databases like Oracle and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra
- Experience in distributed/scalable systems
- Good understanding with Hands on Experience in the below
Spring Boot Features, Java 8 +, Microservices Pattern, Service Mesh, Containerised Deployments Experience in any GITOPS based deployment model
Experience in scaling applications
Good Debugging skills

Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 2years experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company. Option 2: 4 years experience in software engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP, masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area
