Job Role:
  • This role will be responsible for managing a team of appropriately skilled culinary professionals, ensuring standard of food quality and presentation is consistent, and delivering at all times on restaurant brand promise. 
  • Wherever possible local ingredients should be sought and strong partnerships with local suppliers will be essential.
Decisions  
Recruitment and people-related decisions  
A ll day - to - day decisions regarding the operation of the  kitchen  in line with  SkyCity  policies and procedures.  
A ll products requisitioning as  per the delegated authorities.  
 
Recommendations  
Sales   initiatives  
New   product   development   for   the   restaurant  
Development & Marketing initiatives   

Requirements
Qualifications & Experiences  
Required  
Minimum 3 years experience at a Head Chef level within a large, high-end, high-volume outlet or equivalent industry experience 
Proven results in a high volume, high-end restaurant relevant to the restaurant 
Cultural intelligence obtained through leading or being part of a diverse and multi - national team 
Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting cost control, and P&Ls.   
Proven experience in developing training programs and/or teaching and training Junior Chefs 
Legislative requirements   employment relations, health and safety, food safety, responsible service of alcohol, and Host Responsibility 
Sound and proven oral and written communication skills  
Medium to a high level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office and an e - procurement system
