Job Description
- Significant experience leading medium to large engineering teams (preferably with experience in Asset Management domain) in complex, rapidly changing and matrixed environment
- Solid IT / Cloud Computing experience
- Experience in engaging Senior Leadership
- Fluency in written and spoken English (Competency in other languages is a bonus)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Strong personality to proactively reach out to various stake holders to advance Strategic Program activities
- Ability to work within a highly dynamic, complex and fast-changing environment
- Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders including senior level executives
- High levels of energy, creativity and enthusiasm
- Meticulous and inquisitive attitude
- Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, Technology
- Skills required:
- Full Stack Development on cloud native and on-premises environments, Deep experience on SQL on a variety of platforms (such as MS SQL, Athena, Redshift) and Python. Good to have experience on PySpark to develop and execute distributed data processing pipelines.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as a code for cloud resource management as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK)
- Deep understanding of various ETL tools (Glue, Informatica etc), Data Warehousing services (Amazon Redshift, Snowflake etc) and other cloud services like S3/Blob, Lambda/Functions etc
- Experience in the following will be a bonus:
- Able to apply incremental data load strategies and lead engineering capabilities across front-office ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
- SME to design and build efficient scalable solutions for Investments technology
- Gather lead creation of all artefacts to ensure seamless collaboration is established between onsite and offshore team, with business and technical stakeholders; Support the team in building the feeds prioritization, standardization framework and data quality (DQ) plan
- Oversee and contribute to the creation and maintenance of relevant data artifacts (data lineages, source to target mappings, high level designs, interface agreements, etc)
- Work with data feeds from multiple geographies and understand their privacy security requirements, standard contractual clauses (SCC), data sharing agreements and support the team creating amendments as per best practices
- Provides thought leadership and delivers business insights to identify and resolve complex issues critical to our success
- Work closely with the Cloud Engineering leaders to align to the overall business objectives of Cloud Engineering and Cloud growth priorities
- Collaborate closely with Cloud Engineering Teams other relevant Lines of Business (LOBs) to drive improvement to the Cloud Customer experience Strategize, plan and accelerate execution of programs strategic initiatives to contribute directly to driving Cloud growth objectives
- Track and measure the progress and outcomes of the Strategic programs initiatives and look for opportunities to refine and improve
- Encourage a culture of innovation and research within the team by providing strong thought leadership and promoting out-of-box thinking.
Required Qualifications
- Should have minimum 15 years of experience in software development environment with some exposure of Investment Technology/ Asset Management exposure.
- At least 5 years of experience in leading projects end-to-end and working directly with stakeholders in navigating complexities to enable successful delivery of scalable data pipelines in cloud supporting various applications.
- At least 5 years of proven track record of leading end to end projects and globally distributed teams (onshore-offshore model)
- Good understanding of CI/CD principles and experience of CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins etc
- Experience with orchestration tools like Tidal/ Airflow to automate and manage complex data pipelines and workflows.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment/ Ability to influence others to achieve results
- Experience in migrating OnPrem applications to Cloud
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Strong personality to proactively reach out to various stake holders to advance Strategic Program activities
- Ability to work within a highly dynamic, complex and fast-changing environment
- Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders including senior level executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with infrastructure as a code for cloud resource management as code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK).
- Bachelors or Masters degree in in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science
