Job Description
- Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Tester with expertise in Automation and API Testing to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for both functional and non-functional requirements. You will also perform API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and security of APIs. Key Responsibilities Test Automation : Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.). API Testing : Design and execute API tests to validate RESTful or SOAP web services using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar. Test Planning and Execution : Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and define test cases. Write detailed test scripts based on user stories and technical specifications. Bug Tracking and Reporting : Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar. Work closely with the development team to resolve defects. Regression Testing : Automate regression test suites to ensure continued software quality with each release. Performance Testing : Conduct basic performance and load testing for APIs and applications. Continuous Improvement : Continuously improve test automation frameworks, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams including Developers, Product -Managers, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment of automated tests. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in Automation Testing using frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cypress. Solid experience with API Testing, including tools like Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, understanding of HTTP methods, request/response structures, and status codes. Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar for integrating automated tests into the build pipeline. Good understanding of SQL for database validation and troubleshooting. Experience with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
