Job Summary :
Looking for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in wind turbine foundation design and a comprehensive understanding of various engineering aspects related to wind farms. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of wind farm projects, ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of our installations. This position will also include responsibilities for the preparation of specifications and bill of materials for civil works.Responsibilities :1. Wind Turbine Foundation Design :
- Lead and oversee the design of wind turbine foundations, ensuring they meet all structural and safety requirements.
- Utilize industry standards and best practices for foundation design to optimize the performance and longevity of the wind turbines.2. Structural Analysis :
- Perform structural analysis and simulations to validate the designs for wind turbine foundations and other structures within the wind farm.
- Address any structural challenges and recommend improvements or modifications as needed.3. Site Assessment :
- Collaborate with the project development team to assess potential wind farm sites, taking into account soil conditions and geological factors.
- Contribute to site selection and layout decisions to maximize the efficiency of the wind farm.4. Specifications and Bill of Materials :
- Prepare detailed specifications for civil works, including materials, construction methods, and quality standards.
- Create comprehensive bill of materials (BOM) for civil works to facilitate procurement and construction planning.5. Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure that all engineering designs and plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to wind farm development.
- Collaborate with permitting authorities to secure necessary approvals.6. Project Management :
- Participate in project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for wind farm projects.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.7. Quality Assurance :
- Implement quality control measures to verify the integrity of structural designs and construction processes.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of construction work to maintain high-quality standards.8. Collaboration :
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, to achieve project goals.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.
