Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Human Resources (HR) to lead the HR department of a prestigious medical university in Wardha,Maharshtra (50kms from Nagpur)

  • Experience in the education sector is a prerequisite.

Role & responsibilities

  1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the goals and objectives of the medical university, ensuring compliance with UGC (University Grants Commission) and MCI (Medical Council of India) norms.
  2. Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee the recruitment process for faculty, staff, and administrative roles, with a strong emphasis on hiring teaching faculty for the medical college. Utilize hands-on experience in hiring teaching faculty within the medical education sector.
  3. Experience in Education Industry: Leverage extensive experience in the education industry to implement effective talent management strategies tailored to the unique needs of a medical university.
  4. Pay Fixation of Teaching Faculty: Utilize expertise in pay fixation procedures specific to teaching faculty within a medical university setting, ensuring adherence to established norms and guidelines.
  5. Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication channels.
  6. Performance Management: Establish performance management systems to evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth and development.
  7. Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to support organizational goals and initiatives, contributing HR expertise and guidance as needed.

Preferred candidate profile


  1. Proven experience in HR leadership roles within the education industry, particularly in the medical education sector.
  2. Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  3. Well-versed with UGC and MCI norms and regulations applicable to medical universities.
  4. Hands-on experience in pay fixation procedures for teaching faculty within a medical university.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
