Job Description
- As an SQL Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to meet the organization's data storage and retrieval needs
- The role involves collaborating with software developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimized database structures
- The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills, a deep understanding of database architecture, and the ability to work on database development projects
Responsibilities:
- Database Design:Design and implement database structures based on business requirements
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure proper integration of database functionality
- SQL Coding:Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data retrieval, updates, and modifications
- Develop stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality
- Data Modeling:Create and maintain logical and physical data models for databases
- Ensure data models align with business requirements and scalability needs
- Performance Tuning:Identify and address performance bottlenecks in database systems
- Optimize queries and database structures for improved efficiency
- Data Security:Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational security policies
- Data Migration and ETL:Plan and execute data migration activities between different databases or systems
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration
- Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and business analysts
- Provide support and expertise on database-related matters
- Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, configurations, and processes
- Document best practices and coding standards for database development
- Backup and Recovery:Implement and test backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability
- Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and issues
