Job Description

Core Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Cloud Engineer or similar roles, with a specialized focus on AWS and infrastructure automation.
- Demonstrated proficiency in setting up and managing GitHub pipelines for mobile applications and Node.js backend applications.
- Expertise in Terraform for creating and managing AWS resources, including but not limited to VPCs (Virtual Private Clouds), subnets, WAF, API Gateway, Lambda functions, Elastic IPs, EC2 instances, S3 buckets, IAM roles, KMS (Key Management Service), CloudWatch, X-Ray, and various database services like RDS and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding and experience in banking and payments infrastructure, emphasizing security and compliance in the Fintech sector.
- Proven ability to implement rapid iteration and agile development methodologies, preferably Scrum or Kanban.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a requisite for effective collaboration during Melbourne business hours.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with other cloud platforms and advanced tools, enhancing the breadth of technological expertise.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages or scripting, contributing to a more versatile skill set.
- Proven track record of working in cross-functional teams and contributing to a cohesive development environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of GitHub pipelines for mobile and Node.js backend applications, ensuring efficient and secure CI/CD processes.
- Design, execute, and maintain Terraform code for the comprehensive creation and management of Azure cloud infrastructure, tailored to the needs of a banking application.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy features rapidly while upholding high standards of security and performance.
- Continuously review and enhance infrastructure and deployment strategies, keeping pace with the latest industry trends and best practices in AWS cloud infrastucture.
- Mentor and guide team members, cultivating a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Ensure all infrastructural and deployment activities meet the stringent regulatory requirements specific to banking and fintech sectors.
