At least 14-15 years of IT experience, with at least 8 years of experience at Program management level and leading team of Project Managers & Project Coordinators
Experience in managing diverse and multiple teams with complete ownership and responsibility of the team
Creating and implementing growth & development plans for the team
Experience in both Infrastructure and Application program management is highly desirable
Roles and Responsibilities
Support in building PMO governance structure and regularly monitor the Project Portfolio across various Regional Delivery Units
Techno savvy, with know-how on Infrastructure components including Cloud technologies, EUC, Service Desk
Monitor project portfolios for area of scope / tracks assigned
Maintain resource demands, identify critical resource risks, and the overall resource utilization across the entire PMO. Support definition, sourcing, and placement of third-party resources as needed
Plan, direct s & ensure the successful management of standard Project/ Program Management Processes across regional delivery units
Supports team in annual budgeting/ planning exercise of PMO
Assist in enhancing organizational tools used for project reporting and project delivery
Allocate the appropriate resources to ensure that projects, enhancements and support are completed within time, scope and budget
Support implementation of Global Project Management Methodology across various regional delivery units
Identify and escalate critical project risk factors to key stakeholders through implementation and management of formal project risks
Work with senior management and business leaders to support transition/ transformation/ SS projects and overall strategic initiatives
Review project portfolio and contents periodically and assess for linkage, support, and contribution to major goals and strategies
Act as a liaison between senior management, functional owners, and interdependent delivery units teams to oversee progress and facilitate successful closure of project activities on schedule and within budget at both strategic and functional levels
Hiring and retain the best talent, involve in performance management and managing aspirations of individuals and their motivation levels
Oversee the creation and evaluation of effective project management and financial metrics
Manage career planning of Program Managers/ Project Managers & Project coordinators that equip them with necessary resources
Continuously evaluate industry best practices for project management and make recommendations for its adoption within the organization
Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure that the proper controls are enforced
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in IT/ Engineering/MBA or other management qualification from reputed institutes.
Preferred at least one of the certifications like PgMP/ PMP certified / Prince 2 / Agile
