Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Database Analyst & SQL Developer. The Database Analyst & SQL Developer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including database administration, data modeling, ETL development, database design and maintenance, and will use their analytical skills to extract insights from complex data sets. Qualifications Strong database administration and database design skills Experience in data modeling 7-10 years of experience as a database analyst, SQL developer, or a related role. Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design concepts. Proficiency in Extract Transform Load (ETL) development Excellent analytical skills to extract insights from complex data sets Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Relevant experience in SQL querying and scripting languages (such as JavaScript, Python, etc.) Experience working with cloud databases like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be a plus Experience with database modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, MySQL Workbench, etc.). Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques. Experience with data migration tools and techniques. Responsibilities: Design and model databases based on project requirements, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to support application development and data processing needs. Write and optimize SQL scripts for stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects to meet business logic requirements. Collaborate with software developers to understand application requirements and provide guidance on database design and implementation best practices. Perform unit testing and debugging of SQL scripts to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity. Develop and maintain documentation related to database design, data models, and SQL scripts. Assist in performance tuning and optimization of database queries and procedures to improve application performance. Design and implement data migration strategies and tools for bulk data transfers between different databases and environments. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed, working closely with system administrators and support teams. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in database management and SQL development, and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes
