Job Description
- Configure set up data and/or master data for FICO
- Identify customization needs in SAP vis- -vis business practices.
- Develop Functional documentation for customization.
- Work with ABAP development teams to develop/customize objects/components based on Functional documentation.
- Ensure all agreed customizations are completed and tested by the team.
- Ensure all transports are controlled and migrated according to standards.
- Work with Master data and GL data teams to ensure proper configuration set up.
- Identify and accept data from legacy systems.
- Work with data conversion/load teams to transform data into middleware formats.
- Perform pre-load validations.
- Report errors to legacy teams and/or fix them if they are within configuration.
- Load data in SAP.
- Validate post-data load reports vis-a-via legacy extracts.
- Ensure smooth launch of SAP systems in production.
- Work with business teams to ensure month-end, quarter-end and year-end activities are completed as required.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand future road map and sustenance of the product/function.
- Maintain entire life-cycle chain of the product.
- Good knowledge of accounting, including international transactions, currency conversions and ledger postings, statutory reporting
- Prior experience of 2 full-cycle implementation of SAP modules
- Good working knowledge of SAP FICO and Project Systems modules
- Hands on experience on Asset Accounting, Budget control, Depreciation Calculations, ledger postings and other accounting functions
- Five years of prior work experience in SAP software at functional design level or ABAP programming level
