Job Description

As a Sales Engineer with responsibilities for direct industrial Techno-Commercial sales, your role is multifaceted and requires a range of skills and activities. Here's a breakdown of your responsibilities: Generating New Leads: Identify and target potential customers within your assigned region. Use various strategies like cold calling, email marketing, networking, and attending industry events to generate new leads. Handling Existing Clientele: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers. Address their concerns, answer inquiries, and ensure their needs are met. Upsell or cross-sell products or services to existing clients. Finalizing Deals with Customers: Present technical solutions to potential customers. Collaborate with them to understand their needs and provide customized solutions. Negotiate terms and conditions to close deals. Ensure all necessary paperwork and contracts are completed accurately and on time. Payment Follow-up with Clients: Track. and manage payment schedules. Follow up with clients to ensure they make payments on time. Address any payment-related issues or concerns. Day-to-Day Reporting to Sales Manager: Provide regular updates to your Sales Manager regarding your sales activities. Share information on leads, opportunities, and progress on ongoing deals. Prepare and submit reports as required by the company. Thorough Knowledge of Customers & Potential: Understand your assigned region, the industries, and businesses operating in it. Gather insights on customer needs, pain points, and potential opportunities. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitors in the region. In addition to these core responsibilities, a successful Sales Engineer should also possess the following skills and qualities: Technical Expertise: Have a deep understanding of the products or services you are selling, and be able to explain their technical aspects to potential customers. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication is essential for presenting solutions, negotiating, and following up with clients. Problem-Solving: Be prepared to address technical challenges and find innovative solutions for clients. Customer Focus: Prioritize customer satisfaction and build strong, long-term relationships. Time Management: Juggle multiple tasks and priorities efficiently to meet sales targets and deadlines. Negotiation Skills: The ability to negotiate terms and close deals that are mutually beneficial. Adaptability: Be flexible and open to changes, as the sales landscape can change rapidly. Sales Tools and Software: Proficiency in using sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software to track leads, sales, and customer information. Market Research: Continuously monitor and research the market to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends
