Designation Section Incharge (Team Leader)

Instrument GC 1 Position HPLC - 1 Position LCMSMS 1 Position GCMSMS 1 Position

Job Purpose: Responsible for the day to day operations of the Sections, manage and work collaboratively across the teams and responsible for smooth functioning of the laboratory.

Job description & responsibilities:

1. Job allocation and day to day supervision for the work allotted. To check, review each sample received in the laboratory for analysis and also to ensure that samples analysed, within stipulated TAT.

2. To review and cross check the raw data and authorise final results.

3. To verify the availability of sufficient resources for smooth functioning of the lab eg, availability of media, chemicals, glass wares etc. and maintain records and stock of the same in coordination with the Manager.

4. To prepare, review SOPs, standards, specifications and relevant methods and its timely update.

5. To verify the in house calibration checks, performance checks conducted by analysts. To maintain valid calibration status of each equipment and intermediate checks along with handling troubleshooting such as breakdown, service/maintenance and maintain the relevant records.

6. Evaluates the competency of all testing personnel including, awareness of different accreditations and standards, and ensure that the staff maintain their competency to perform test procedures and report test results. Also prepare the training plan, impart trainings and ensure its timely update in coordination with the Manager

7. To monitor sample storage, retention & proper discard of samples, chemicals & other wastes etc.

8. To present the monthly summary of activities to reporting authority.

9. Overall responsible for smooth functioning of the laboratory.

Personal | Professional requirements:

Masters in Science (Any branch of chemistry)/ PhD.

5- 7 years experience

Salary: 7 to 8 L PA
