Cloud Specialist @ Nokia Networks

As a member of The NSDC (Network Services Delivery Centre) Team within the NI Fixed Networks division you will be responsible for the various System Integration activities for our global customers on domains such as SDAN ( software defined access networks, Home wifi, Fixed Wireless Access, ONTES Subfamily Description As a cloud expert, the cloud design and deployment team conducts various deployments of Nokia solutions into Private and public clouds as deisgned and contracted by customers. Impact Impact is short-term and usually departmental/project in scope. Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency of own and/or team achievements. * Typically requires 6-10 years relevant experience and/or a graduate equivalent (or higher) degree.

* Experience in cloud/virtual technologies

* Experience with building, deploying and managing applications and software on PaaS

* Expertise with the RedHat OpenShift Container Platform and Expertise with Kubernetes

* Expertise in RedHat Linux administration

* Knowledge, skills and abilities to manage container image repositories in support of Linux Containers

* Knowledge, skills and abilities to deploy OpenShift Container Platform in both public and private cloud

* Knowledge, skills and abilities to automate application deployment via CI/CD Pipelines using industry best practices and open source software

* Knowledge, skills and abilities to automate the creation of Platform as a Services (PaaS) infrastructure using industry standard tools such as Ansible and Jenkins etc

* Knowledge and/or experience of any virtualization platform (vmware, kvm, virtual box)

* Expertise to check and apply critical patches in OpenShift/Kubernetes. Troubleshoot issues in OpenShift Clusters. Manage OpenShift Management Components and Tenants

Good to have: Knowledge on other cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google.

Tasks

Researches, designs, plans, develops and / or evaluates new advanced cloud technologies by translating customer requirements or strategic business objectives into final product design. Work typically includes in-depth assessment of the customers networked application needs, providing cloud modelling and simulation testing, consulting to further clarify needs, and engineering to deliver cloud solution. Designs, defines and implements integrated hardware / software systems requirements for customers and / or prepares studies and analyses existing systems. Determines system specifications, input / output processes and working parameters for hardware / software compatibility. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyses and resolves programme support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Works with substantial discretion and uses specialist knowledge, analytical skills, judgment and broad conceptual and practical experience to solve complex problems and to contribute to process improvements. Transfers concepts for professional direction of own organisational unit into actionable measures. Provides working leadership and training to less experienced personnel.
