Job Description

Responsibilities -

  • Must have 7+ years of experience in digital marketing within the music industry, preferably at a major label.
  • Strong analytical background and ability to create and update reports.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams (strong project management, organization, and communication skills)
  • Ambitious individual sought who is a self-starter requiring minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication oral and written skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience every week.
  • Social strategy and paid media planning experience preferred

The Successful Candidate Must Possess The Following Core Skills:

  • Label Operations: Handle label operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring the effective and organized management of music releases.
  • Analytics and Data Insights: Utilized various tools and methodologies to analyze data and extract valuable insights. Evaluated the effectiveness of marketing strategies and identified drivers of growth, allowing for datadriven decision making and the adaptation of strategies as needed.
  • Label Hygiene: Maintained label hygiene and optimized the release cycle for music tracks, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • DSP Relationships: Established and nurtured strong partnerships with Digital Service Providers (DSPs), enhancing the label's visibility and success in the digital music landscape.
  • Radio and TV Partnerships: Successfully cultivated and managed strategic partnerships with prominent radio and TV networks, facilitating increased airplay and exposure for artists' music.
  • Digital Advertising Expert: Managed and executed digital advertising campaigns on platforms such as YouTube (YT) and Meta, achieving increased visibility and engagement for music content.
  • Executing best practice strategies and methodologies to maximize company's sales & marketing programs.
  • Plan and schedule release Manage the production work and coordinate with third parties.
  • Maintain Label Hygiene and release cycle for the tracks.
  • Categories release of the tracks and shortlist the tracks for the release.
  • Executing best practice strategies and methodologies to maximize company's sales & marketing programs.

Content Operations (Audio & Video)

i) Interact with artists and producers for content delivery

ii) Coordinate with artists, producers, video teams to review incoming content.

iii) Quality check of content before ingestion.

iv) Using and following distributors release process for scheduling digital products and coordinating with partners to make it live on digital platforms.

v) Coordinate with artists to resolve issues with their profiles on digital stores.

vi) Setting the upload schedules for YouTube channels, handling video uploads and setting of video metadata. Executing best practice strategies and methodologies to maximize company's sales & marketing programs


Influencer Marketing

i) Led the social influencer marketing program for song promotions.

ii) Defined influencer strategy and built foundational frameworks for campaign measurement, agency & influencer selection.

iii) Working to build inhouse team for influencer marketing and reducing dependency of agencies.


Google AdWords Campaign (Video Ads)

i) Formation of effective and efficient Google ad strategies for the promotion of music video.

ii) Create campaign strategies & manage bids.

iii) Make plans for audience targeting.

iv) Optimize campaigns.

v) Generate and share reports.


Merchandise Planning

i) Identifying and selecting merchandise partner.

ii) Defining, designing and implementing a creative merchandising strategy.

iii) Manage inventory planning and replenishment.


Fan Engagement

i) Identifying major fan groups with maximum engagement.

ii) Planning activities and various social media strategies to make artist more accessible to fans.

iii) Planning customized merchandise for fans via various contests to promote new songs.

iv) Plan and execute various meet and greet in different cities.


Team Management

i) Identifying and appointing various agencies for PR, social media marketing, etc.

ii) Create strategies and implement guidelines.

iii) Planning and setting goals.

iv) Monitoring team performance to ensure objectives are met.

  • Working with Cross Promotional Teams like Social, Marketing in ideation and promotional strategy of every release.
  • Creating and executing advertising, publicity media campaigns, marketing plans and promotions for priority developing artists and new release products.

Desired profile of the candidate -

Preference will be given to those joining immediately .
