Lead Data Reliability Engineer @ Hitachi

Job Description

1. 8-12 years of overall experience in data engineering and architecture
2. Hands-on expertise implementing and managing data quality (using tools like IDQ), Data Governance (using tools like Azure Purview), cataloguing, and metadata management
3. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP for big data solutions
4. Knowledge of data monitoring (using tools like Datadog) and data-centric cost optimization in cloud
5. Delivered projects involving large-scale data lakes, warehouses (Snowflake/Redshift), and data pipelines.
6. Design and develop reliable ETL pipelines leveraging services like Informatica, AWS Glue, etc.
7. Define and implement data governance framework policies, metrics, audits, and processes.
8. Continuously monitor data health metrics across - availability, quality, lineage
9. Identify opportunities for optimal data architecture and build technical roadmaps.
10. Lead teams to engineer scalable data platforms and reliable data pipelines.
11. Consult with stakeholders and oversee technical delivery and solutions.
12. Stay updated on latest data technologies and introduce where appropriate.
13. Coach and mentor junior data engineers in the team
14. Promote data democratization through advanced analytics and ML integration.
15. Strong written and verbal communication with both business and technical teams
