Job Description
Responsibilities:- Possesses expertise in the logistics space, with a focus on Transportation applications.
- Initiate and lead work focused on the technical aspects of multiple enterprise applications, including system configuration, process and code analysis, and development.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in multiple applications and technical disciplines
- Knowledgeable in the technology supporting a wide range of business functions or supporting technologies, including e2e.
- Research potential changes and analyze options and implement selected items. Audit results for efficiency, improved quality, or speed.
- Identify impacts of planned application maintenance, including highly complex multi-system outages.
- Support the Weekly on Call as per the requirement thereby handling the critical issues across the Transportation suite of products. Efforts to be established in building the efficiency in terms of reducing these issues/alerts for technical space
- Recommend and Implement processes to reduce the O&M effort across the enterprise.
- Create overall technical architecture for large, complex projects. Lead overall delivery of complex technical solutions or solutions for multiple programs simultaneously.
- Oversight and or manage complex project test environments in partnership with TCOE, QA or other Leads, including vendor contacts. Ensure instances are allocated and setup appropriately.
- Create supporting technical documents, technical specs, design drafts, preliminary tech. specifications/plans in scope to drive the tasks successfully aligning the requirements
- provide development estimates, initial risk and mitigation recommendations. Recommend options with supporting material or data points including presentations.
- Coordinate delivery of technical design, configuration, and scope summaries, incl. architecture for enhancements or projects. Lead review sessions to ensure technical work is aligned functional design.
- Review and validate in partnership with TCOE the test data plan. Document impacts to adjoining systems, including alignment reviews as needed. Recommend solution to mitigate impacts.
- Define and present options for highly complex or unique data conversions. Document strategy and requirements. Ensure data mapping and scripting. Create and present conversion status summaries.
Qualifications and Skill Set
Strong knowledge of: o C+ and C++
- Requires a bachelors degree (preferably in Computer Science) and 8-10 years application development experience using core Java.
- IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ, NetBeans, etc.)
- Build Tools (Maven, Gradle)
Strong knowledge of: o C+ and C++
- Systems integration
- Relational database systems
- Server-side programming
- Data Purge
- Oracle SQL
- Servlets and JSP with experience on Struts
- Hands on EJB and knowledge on RMI will be good.
- REST based applications.
- Spring, Spring Boot or Spring MVC.
- Experience with the following are not required but a plus:
- Front-End Technologies
- Cloud native development
- DEVOps CI/CD implementation and processes
- Docker and container orchestration
- Experience in using design patterns and software development best practices.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
- Experience delivering in an onshore / offshore model.
- Experience in collaborating with multiple resources on projects.
- Experience developing and delivering solutions to real customer problems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Manhattan Supply Chain Solutions desired.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
