We are looking for GM role - Gobal Procurement Services - Operational Excellence for a reputed MNC Organisation based at Bangalore Location.

Job summary:


Reporting to the Head of Strategy, Transformation & Innovation, you lead and supports the development of key aspects of the continuous improvement program approach, methods and tools. As an expert in the area of continuous improvement and lean six sigma methodologies your responsibilities include the oversight and employment of the aforementioned methods and tools within various practice areas to support and enable attainment of specified business objectives. All engagements with the practice/business areas are based on a highly collaborative approach with the focus of the transformation and continuous improvement office being an organization that understands the business needs and challenges and one that provides substantial value and support in enabling each business area to achieve its objectives. You will also be responsible for continuously improving the processes and overall program by capturing lessons learned, incorporating best practices and maturing continuous improvement to a point of a Digital Risk core competency

Qualifications - External


Qualifications & Skills Required:  Bachelors degree or masters degree



  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in leading projects in continuous improvement/Lean/six sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit in operationally complex business environment.

  • Customer centric attitude is mandatory.

  • L6SMBB certification required; Project Management certification like PMP etc is a plus

  • Knowledge of agile and lean approaches.

  • Experience in Agile project management teams

  • Proven Project Management skills

  • Expertise in conflict resolution

  • Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability

  • Proficiency with statistical tools & softwares like Minitab etc.

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and working knowledge of SmartSheet or Project.

  • Digital acumen (e.g. RPAs, Collaboration tools, SSP-SRM, MDG, Coupa, etc)

  • Direct & Indirect Procurement (Strategic Sourcing/Category Management) background/Exposure

  • Fluent English and Outstanding communication, team development and leadership

  • Networking Management & Customer orientation

  • Ability to navigate complexities in a global matrix organization with clear action & solution driven

  • Robust program management competency

  • Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Main responsibilities:


As a Master Black Belt you are charge of creating and implementing a Six Sigma strategy for the Global Procurement Services.  The overall goal is to maximize output while minimizing cost. You will work with the function executives and other stakeholders to determine specific goals and lead the Six Sigma team toward reaching them. 

Key responsibilities include:- 



  • Challenge stakeholders to maximize opportunities from process improvement initiatives. 

  • Champion change management across all levels of the organization and prioritize areas of improvement

  • Lead initiatives in a cross functional and diverse environment

  • Facilitate & lead groups through process mapping, root cause analysis, brainstorming, business impact assessments, gap analysis and project planning

  • Partner with technology experts (internal and external as needed) to align processes and systems.

  • Create, refine, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Develop, monitor, and report business process improvement against accepted standards.

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management industry preferred

  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Provides Lean or Six Sigma training as needed to project team members.

  • Reports on project progress to Champion and other appropriate leadership levels at least on a monthly basis.

  • Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost metrics.
