We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Chief Engineer - Civil to lead our civil engineering department. Role Overview:
The Chief Engineer - Civil is a key member of our engineering team and is responsible for overseeing and managing all civil engineering projects. This position requires a strong technical background in civil engineering, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Lead and manage all civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget, and timeline.
- Coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Prepare and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any challenges or issues, and maintain quality standards. 2. Engineering Design:
- Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design and analysis for various project components, including structural, architectural, and geotechnical engineering.
- Review and analyze engineering design plans, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams to develop innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Implement and promote sustainable engineering practices in project design and execution. 3. Team Management:
- Mentor, coach, and supervise a team of civil engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to encourage creativity, knowledge sharing, and team cohesion.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent, conducting interviews, and participating in the selection process. 4. Quality Assurance and Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards related to civil engineering and construction.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs and minimize rework.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and implementing appropriate protocols. Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in civil engineering project management, preferably in the energy or petrochemical sectors.
- Expert knowledge of civil engineering design principles, practices, and software tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Roles and Responsibilities
Civil & Structural Design / UG Engineers having Bachelors of Civil Engineering with 20 to 30 years' experience and Estimation Engineers having Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 25 years experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers and Refinery types of projects.
Should have worked in the capacity of Lead engg for the project
