The Role We're seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our cloud-based platform, ensuring it meets our high standards of scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. You'll work closely with both our product development and customer success teams to innovate and implement features that further our mission of cloud cost optimization. Key. Responsibilities Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain scalable, automated cloud infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment of our platform. Performance Monitoring: Utilize AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray) and third-party solutions to ensure optimal performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Cost Optimization: Leverage Spend Shrink's own tools in addition to AWS cost management tools to continuously monitor and improve our AWS usage and spend. Security and Compliance: Ensure our infrastructure complies with industry standards and security best practices, including data encryption, IAM policies, and vulnerability assessments. Collaboration: Work closely with product developers to design and deploy new features, and with customer success to troubleshoot and resolve AWS-related issues. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in DevOps or similar roles, with a strong background in AWS services. Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures. Experience with automation and configuration management tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and processes (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Familiarity with AWS cost optimization practices and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
