Job Description Skills Required : JavaScript With Cypress Proficiency in JavaScript, particularly for test automation purposes using Cypress.io, including writing test scripts, setting up test suites, and performing end-to-end testing. Basic SQL Queries Understanding of basic SQL queries for data validation and database testing, including CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete) and querying data from relational databases. Linux Commands Familiarity with Linux operating system and command-line interface (CLI), including navigating the file system, managing files and directories, and executing basic shell commands. Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript and Cypress.io for web application testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and quality assurance (QA) analysts to understand requirements and identify test scenarios. . Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and report defects to the development team, ensuring timely resolution and regression testing. Create and maintain test data sets for automated testing, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the testing process. Perform database testing by writing and executing basic SQL queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Write and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring clear and concise communication of test results and findings. Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and work with the development team to resolve issues in a timely manner. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation, JavaScript, and Cypress.io, and share knowledge with the team to improve overall testing processes. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4-6 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation using JavaScript and Cypress.io. Strong proficiency in JavaScript programming language and experience with test automation frameworks and tools. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Experience with version control systems such as Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
