Application Deployment Engineer @ ARCON

Job Description

We are seeking an Application Deployment Engineer with deep expertise in Linux environments, Docker containerization, NGINX configuration, and shell scripting (Bash). The ideal candidate will also have working experience with C# and ASP.NET to help integrate and deploy .NET-based applications in Linux-based systems. This role emphasizes application delivery, deployment automation, and runtime optimization not system administration.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated shell scripts for build, deploy, monitoring, and cleanup processes
• Build, configure, and troubleshoot Docker containers for microservices and .NETbased applications
• Configure and optimize NGINX as a reverse proxy for APIs and web front ends
• Integrate ASP.NET/C# applications into Docker and Linux-hosted environments
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment, networking, or environment-related issues in dev and staging
• Collaborate with developers to ensure code is deployable, scalable, and production-ready
• Maintain documentation for scripts, configurations, and deployment practice

Required Skills:

• Expert-level shell scripting (Bash) for automating Linux workflows
• Strong experience with Linux as a deployment and runtime environment (Ubuntu, Debian, etc.)
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration with Docker Compose
• Deep understanding of NGINX for routing, reverse proxying, static hosting, and SSL setup
• Fair experience with C# and ASP.NET enough to understand, deploy, and integrate .NET apps Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms

Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web application performance

Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
