Job Title: Mainframe Developer Company: Spruce InfoTech, Inc Job Type: C2H Location: Bengaluru/Chennai Experience: 8+ years Spruce InfoTech, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru/Chennai. As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications with a focus on Cobol, JCL, DB2, Stored Procedures, and Syncsort. Responsibilities: - Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions for mainframe applications. - Develop and maintain Cobol programs, JCL scripts, DB2 queries, Stored Procedures, and Syncsort processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for mainframe development. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing mainframe applications, ensuring optimal performance and. reliability. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in mainframe development to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our applications. - Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers as needed. Requirements: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8+ years" experience in mainframe development. - Proficiency in the Cobol programming language and experience with JCL scripting. - Strong knowledge of DB2 database concepts and experience writing complex SQL queries. - Hands-on experience with Stored Procedures development and optimization. - Familiarity with Syncsort or similar tools for data manipulation and sorting. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
