Job Description

Level: Mid-Senior Role: IT Business Analyst Domain: Cards + Vision Plus Work location: Chennai. We are seeking an experienced business analyst with a strong background in Cards domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the banking sector, particularly in cards processes, and will be skilled in implementing IT solutions that enhance these functions. Roles & Responsibilities Consult with product stakeholders to understand business drivers and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements. You will work with Product Managers to evaluate the Product Roadmap to identify features for development and identify "definition of done" for each feature. Lead robust, fast (through) inceptions (identify scope, value, solution) and Own prioritized actionable backlogs. Manage scope and drive trade-off decisions in conjunction with internal/external stakeholders while balancing business requirements with technical requirements. . Elicit, capture, analyze and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and other technical documentation. Work with the development team & provide walkthrough, resolve queries & communicate details in a timely manner. Attend standups, grooming meetings, estimation meetings, retrospectives and other key meetings for the scrum team. Identify blockers that will impact timeline, scope, cost or other product variables and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship. Domain Knowledge Experience in Cards domain (Issuers & Acquirers) Experience in working on the entire Card value chain i.e. Online Acquisition, Decisioning, Billing & Posting, Fraud & Dispute Management, Network Compliance & Regulation, Loyalty & Rewards, and Account Management & Services. Experience in Onboarding journey experience and understanding of APIs / data schemas. Experience in Vision Plus tool is good to have. Thought Leadership: - Independently research industry trends and support to shape innovative ideas and opinions for practice thought leaders. Actively contribute to research, development and authoring of consulting mindshare i.e. articles, whitepapers, and other collaterals via traditional and social media channels Business Development: - Support RFI/RFP responses and other business development opportunities as needed. Customer Relationship Management: - Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholder(s) Be seen as a go to resource that client wants to bring back for future engagements. Practice Development: - Draw conclusions from market/industry trends and client experiences to support in the design and build of new go to market service offerings. Support service line development and case study support through the gathering of industry best practices Knowledge Management: - Assist in creating client and/ or practice related materials (deliverables, solutions, industry best practices, standards and other knowledge artifacts) to Cognizant's knowledge management repository. People Management: - Actively support recruitment for campus candidates through pre-placement discussions Help to on-board and mentor junior associates; actively support their ongoing development; be known as a leader among peers
