Job Description
Reporting to the Database Administrator Manager and under limited
supervision, the Database Administrator installs and manages the
performance, security and reliability of physical client databases.
In addition, this position also tunes database instances and applications and
provides database expertise to development staff.
Responsibilities
Manages turnover of programs, data, and simple schema changes into test and production databases.
Monitors database performance, backups, alerts and logs.
Installs and configures Oracle & SQL database server, upgrade, and patch-sets.
Manages movement of complex schema changes into test and production databases.
Manages database storage (table spaces, data files, extents) and I/O distribution.
Sets up and manages:
Physical database data structures: tables, indexes, clusters, partitions, etc.,
Backup, recovery, and fault-tolerance of Oracle, MySQL & SQL databases,
Network interfaces between databases, clients and other products,
Database security,
Database replication and distributed database environment.
Tunes database instances and applications and provides database expertise to development staff.
Responds to after-hours critical system issues on an on-call basis.
Other duties as required
Qualifications
Education/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent.
Oracle Certified Associate/Professional certification (OCA/OCP),
Microsoft Certify Solution Associate (MCSA): SQL SERVER or equivalent preferred.
Experience / Skill / Attributes:
Minimum 4-8 year experiences Database Administration or equivalent

- Candidate should have hands on experience on Postgress, Oracle12c,18c Mysql5
- Rotational Shift including night shift
- Maximum hike 25% subject to current compensation
