Job Role: Oracle OIPA System Administrator

Experience: 6 +

Location:  Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai (Remote)

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days

Position: C2H

Shift Timing :: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM IST

Description

- Monitor, Analyze and Configure the OIPA Application and Database to ensure optimal performance, components such as WebLogic Web/App, Database and Linux.
- Work on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develop and prepare technical solutions and documents.
- Review and interpret architectural and technical design documents to develop complex OIPA transactions and processes using best practice OIPA configuration techniques
- Troubleshoot logical database queries to facilitate calculations, reporting and complex formulas using Oracle SQL.
- Research and provide root cause analysis or resolve data issues and defects
- Review and manage Technical Design Documents
- Perform code reviews
- Strong understanding of OIPA database schema and relational objects inherent to it
- Support AsFile, Real-time and Push integration services
- Research and evaluate system capabilities for integrating product, service and technical solutions to enable business partners
- Experience with REST services with proven ability to implement solutions
- Expertise in entity based logical modeling and data throughput optimization
- XSLT and OIPA configuration expertise required
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to align business intent with system behavior
- Adhere to defined OIPA integration best practices
- Ability to productively work under Agile project methodologies
- Practical working knowledge of insurance life and health products for individual, group and worksite markets
- Comprehensive working knowledge of database concepts and a strong understanding of SQL query building and optimization
- Weblogic Application Server Tuning includes Clustering, CPU, Memory and Thread Pool recommendations.
- Support complex deployments and migrations.
- Proactively assess short/long term design implications that would impact effective and efficient operations of the overall OIPA and the PAS ecosystem.
- Work closely with internal OIPA Configuration teams as well as Oracle Development team to manage OIPA Issues, requests and Incidents.

Required Skills and Experience:

- OIPA v10 or v11 Database and Application Design, configuratoin or upgrade.
- 5+ years of Oracle DB Support
- 5+ years of Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Redhat JBoss, Tomcat and Coherence.
- DI Queue configuration and setup troubleshooting of issues with JMS messaging with WebLogic or WebSphere.
- LOMA certification and knowledge of typical insurance business functions including: underwriting and policy issue, payment processing, monthaversary, anniversary, disbursement, withdrawal, correspondence, nonforfeiture, lapse processing, state reporting, billing, policy servicing, product set-up, , health claims processing, life claims processing
- Knowledge of Oracle SOA and BPM is desired
- Experience with OIPA Cycle and DI monitoring and troubleshooting

Nice to Have:

- Oracle Exalogic and Exadata.
- OIPA Components User Management with security group entitlements and SSO enablement will be an asset.
- Deployment experience with Docker images / Kubernetes .
