Job Description

Below JD for the position of Sr. Oracle DBA.

Sr. Oracle DBA JD:

 Experience: 10+ yrs. Exp

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioural Competency)

Must-Have:

• Experience in working on Oracle 11g, 12c and 19c databases on various platforms (Unix, Windows) & MySQL/PostgreSQL administration.
• Good Knowledge in Oracle database Administration skills.
• Oracle RAC, ASM & Knowledge on Scripting(Shell Script) for automation.
• Deep knowledge on Performance tuning of databases, SQL Tuning, Used Tuning utilities like EXPLAIN PLAN, AWR, ADDM
• Applying patches & DB upgrade/migrations
• New Oracle and Grid software installation, configuration.
• Good knowledge on Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
• Database export import and Database upgrade to new host.
• Managing DB backups and RMAN restoration
• Data guard setup and monitoring on Oracle RAC environment.
• Experience in User Management and Database Security such as creating Users, Roles, Profiles and granting Roles and Privileges.
• Experience in MySQL  & PostgreSQL installation/upgradation and replication configuration/Management.

Good-to-Have (Not Mandatory)

• Oracle 12C/19C OCP certification.

Exposure to cloud environment(GCP cloud) will be an added advantage
