Designation : DBA Job Location : Gurugram, Udyog Vihar Phase 4 Total Experience : 10-15 Years Relevant Experience : 5 Years Preferred Domain : IT or Healthcare IT Job Purpose: As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our databases. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain database systems that support our business operations and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: Database Design & Implementation: Design and implement database solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices. Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance. Database Administration: Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and software upgrades. Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance. Security Management: Implement and enforce database security measures to protect. sensitive data from unauthorized access, misuse, or breaches. Manage user access permissions and database encryption. Data Migration & Integration: Coordinate data migration projects and ensure seamless integration between different database systems and applications. Develop and maintain data migration scripts and procedures. Performance Tuning & Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in database systems. Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to improve performance and scalability. Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery plans. Test backup and recovery procedures regularly to ensure data availability and integrity in case of system failures or disasters. Documentation & Training: Create and maintain documentation for database systems, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide training and support to end-users and technical staff as needed. Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and internal policies related to database management and data security. Participate in audits and assessments as required. Vendor Management: Evaluate and select database software, tools, and services. Manage relationships with database vendors and service providers. Stay informed about new developments and trends in database technology. Desired Skills: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) preferred. Proven experience (5+ years) as a database administrator, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment. In-depth knowledge of database management systems, such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL. Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and database-as-a-service (DBaaS) solutions is a plus. Proficiency in database design, implementation, and administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex database issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
