What You Will Do At Volvo Group Digital & IT you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. As a passionate and skilled 3D specalist in the Mobile/XR chapter you will work in global and cross-functional teams to develop software solutions. You will combine best practices and developed solutions with innovative thinking to create new digital products. Your main responsibility will be to work with our teams and stakeholders to ensure the 3D representation of our physical products is world class. You will work closely with stakeholders and fellow developers to be in line with changing business needs. You will contribute to XR applications that. change the way we do business and set standards for our future development. Key Responsibilities Contribute to, and in some cases, lead the development of 3D solutions for Volvo Group in an agile way Leverage established best practices to create scalable and sustainable products Set new standards and provide documentation where appropriate Collaborate with third party suppliers to develop solutions Share best practices and innovations with the larger practitioner community Continuously learn and develop your skills in the Mobile/XR domain Your future team We are a global team of Mobile/XR professionals with skills ranging from developer to 3D specialist to business analyst. In this role, you will bring: You are a passionate, innovative, and driven 3D specialist with professional experience of 3D modeling, design and CAD to 3D conversion. Contributing to successful software solutions and solving new challenges motivates and energizes you. You learn fast and approach problems with solution-oriented thinking. You collaborate well with others and can thrive in multi-cultural & multi-disciplinary teams. Using cutting edge technology to solve both old and new problems excites you. Desired Skills Professional level knowledge of 3D modeling, lighting, shading, animation, and rendering knowledge Professional level knowledge in UV mapping techniques to texel optimized PBR baking Professional level knowledge of 3D modeling & CAD software (Blender, 3DS Max, Maya, Creo) Professional experience in creating 1:1 optimised subdivision surface 3D models based on CAD input geometry Professional experience in using tools such as Substance Painter and SimpleBake to create & bake game optimised PBR textures Experience creating game/XR-optimized PBR 3D assets Experience using Pixyz Studio to import, clean up, structure and optimize 3D data for real-time 3D engine use Experience in creating Pixyz recipes to optimize data Experience creating LOD-based 3D geometry for game engines Ability to structure and optimize 3D data for animation and/or interactive systems such as rigid & soft body physics, constraints and inverse kinematics simulations Relevant University degree or similar experience Excellent proficiency in English is a requirement Whats in it for you We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, plus you will enjoy: A hybrid work environment with a mix of on-site and remote work Flexible working schedule to accommodate work-life balance Work in global cross functional teams gaining exposure to multiple parts of a complex global business, and opportunities for professional development Ready for the next move Are you excited to bring your skills and disruptive ideas to the table We cant wait to hear from you.
