Job Description

The Data Privacy Governance Lead will be responsible for ensuring data security, privacy, compliance, and governance across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing security frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and governance solutions to maintain data integrity, compliance, and security. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive automation, and manage audits to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

How your day-to-day responsibilities will look like:
  • Data Privacy Security Compliance.
  • Conduct audits, perform gap analysis, and identify risks in the current data security framework.
  • Develop and implement a security compliance roadmap aligned with industry standards (ISO, GDPR, DPDP etc.).
  • Establish and enforce data security controls, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Automate compliance monitoring, administrative tasks, and security reporting.
  • Drive remediation of high-risk observations across business functions.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Support external audits and regulatory assessments as required.
  • Define and implement a strategy for a centralized data platform supporting enterprise-wide governance and quality initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor data quality standards, KPIs, and benchmarks to ensure compliance with governance policies.
  • Implement solutions for data cataloging, dictionary, lineage, access controls, and encryption (e.g., row-level, column-level security, masking, tokenization).
Education Work Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data privacy, security compliance, data governance, or related fields.
KnowledgeRequired:
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory standards (ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, DPDP).
  • Expertise in data governance platforms, metadata management, and security tools.
  • Experience in cloud-based architectures and SaaS database platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Skills:
  • Educate employees on data privacy, security, and governance best practices, promoting a data-driven culture.
Attitude:
  • Work closely with enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to integrate security and governance solutions.
