We are currently in search of a highly skilled Software Embedded Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. As a Software Embedded Linux Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing embedded Linux solutions for our groundbreaking projects. At L4B Software You Will: Lead the design, development, and customization of embedded Linux solutions using Yocto and Buildroot build systems. Apply in-depth knowledge of Yocto Project and Buildroot to create tailored Linux-based OS solutions. Develop, optimize, and integrate kernel modules and device drivers for seamless hardware-software. interactions. Collaborate with hardware teams to create and maintain Board Support Packages for different embedded devices. Engage in Linux kernel contributions to improve and optimize features relevant to our products. Conduct thorough code reviews and implement best practices for delivering robust, maintainable, and high-quality code. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to embedded Linux systems. Stay updated with the latest trends in embedded Linux technologies, fostering continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery. Take ownership of assigned projects, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior team members when necessary. Requirements What you will bring: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. At Least 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux development and software engineering. Proficiency in Yocto Project and Buildroot build systems. Strong expertise in developing and integrating kernel modules and device drivers. Demonstrated experience in embedded C/C++ development. Expertise with Linux kernel internals and contributions. Experience in creating and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) for embedded platforms. Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in embedded Linux development and software engineering. Yocto and Buildroot: Proficiency in Yocto Project and Buildroot build systems for creating customized Linux distributions. Kernel Modules/Device Drivers: Strong expertise in developing and integrating kernel modules and device drivers into the Linux kernel. Embedded C/C++ Development: Demonstrated experience in embedded C/C++ development for resource-constrained systems. Linux Kernel Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux kernel internals and the ability to make kernel-level modifications and contributions. BSP Development: Previous experience in creating and maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) for embedded platforms. Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, for source code management. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, fostering a positive and supportive work culture
