Job Description

We have an Urgent #hiring for a LiDAR Data Processing Executive at Genesys International Corporation Ltd, ( Work from Office ) SEEPZ, Andheri (E) Mumbai.

Job Title: LiDAR Data Processing Executive

Experience: 1 to 5 Years

Location: Work from Office (Mumbai Location)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented LiDAR Data Processing Executive to join our geospatial team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in processing LiDAR data for a variety of mapping, engineering, and infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in LiDAR data classification, editing, and deriving value-added products.

Mandatory Responsibilities:

Process raw LiDAR data to generate classified point clouds using standard classification schemas (e.g., ASPRS).
Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on processed data.
Generate and edit Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Digital Surface Models (DSM), and contours.
Interpret LiDAR datasets for ground, vegetation, and building classification.
Use LiDAR processing software tools (e.g., TerraScan, LP360, Global Mapper, LASTools).
Work with orthophotos and LiDAR in combination for accurate terrain mapping.
Document processing workflows and ensure data meets client/project specifications.
Coordinate with project managers and QA teams to meet project timelines.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors / Masters degree in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications in LiDAR data processing or GIS tools (preferred but not mandatory).

Required Skills:

Proficiency in LiDAR processing tools: TerraScan, TerraModeler, Global Mapper, LP360, LASTools
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD Map
Good understanding of geospatial data formats (LAS/LAZ, DEM, DSM, DTMs)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail in classification and editing
Basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar) optional but a plus
Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on LiDAR processing experience
Up to 5 years of relevant geospatial or LiDAR experience
Experience in aerial or mobile LiDAR datasets
Familiarity with working on large-scale infrastructure or utility projects
