About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Java (17+), microservices, and AWS cloud technologies. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs that power mission-critical applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build resilient cloud-native services leveraging the latest tools and best practices in the AWS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot, Quarkus, or equivalent frameworks.
- Build and manage microservices-based architecture with high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Work extensively with AWS Cloud services including but not limited to Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CDK, and CloudWatch.
- Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) or equivalent tools.
- Integrate databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, and ensure data consistency and security.
- Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to best practices in cloud-native development.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile development ceremonies.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17 and deep knowledge of object-oriented programming, concurrency, and RESTful services.
- Proven experience building and deploying microservices in a production environment.
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, Quarkus, or similar backend frameworks.
- Solid experience with AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and CDK.
- Hands-on with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and source control (Git).
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect) is a plus.
