Job Description
Were looking for an experienced JavaScript Developer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise to drive the development of our cutting-edge browser security plugins. This role is ideal for a self-driven engineer passionate about browser extension development, performance optimization, and emerging tech like Plasmo and Generative AI APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Maintain Browser Extensions
Develop lightweight, high-performance browser extensions using the Plasmo framework. - Advanced JavaScript Development
Write clean, modular, and scalable JavaScript (ES6+) code for a robust front-end experience. - Cross-Browser Compatibility
Ensure smooth performance across Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and other major browsers. - Optimize for Speed & UX
Continuously improve plugin performance, page load speed, and user interaction flow. - Collaborate & Integrate
Work closely with backend, product, and design teams to bring features to life via RESTful APIs and modern UI/UX standards. - Debug & Test
Conduct thorough unit and integration testing, troubleshoot issues, and deploy resilient browser solutions. - Innovate with AI
Leverage Generative AI APIs (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance plugin functionality and interactivity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of front-end development experience with a strong command of JavaScript (ES6+)
- Proven experience building browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, or Edge
- Proficiency with the Plasmo framework and browser extension architecture (content/background scripts, manifest files, etc.)
- Familiarity with browser APIs, DOM manipulation, and handling async data flow (Promises, async/await)
- Strong grasp of cross-browser debugging and compatibility practices
- Experience using Git and version control best practices in collaborative environments
- Exposure to Generative AI APIs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and integrating them into browser-based products is a plus
