 Senior Production Support Analyst

Job Description

The Senior Production Support Analyst will support, provide setup and testing of production job execution, automate and schedule for business critical areas including daily client file transfers and EDW production batch, and produce enterprise-wide reporting and analytics in a 24/7/365 environment. This role will manage assigned change control tickets and trouble tickets. The Senior Production Support Analyst will support monitoring of retail database environments and provide advance abend support and troubleshooting for a broad range of processing on UNIX, mainframe, windows, database, network and data security. This role partners with multiple teams to identify solutions to todays issues to improve overall performance. Tracking: Perform tracking of production processing and critical client files using system tools such as, but not limited to, IBM Tivoli Scheduler. Open and complete Tessera trouble and change tickets (system issues, installations, requests, etc.). Ability to. prioritize standard work load with incoming critical alerts and disruptions; seek assistance when needed to meet peak demands. Drive and investigate system issues for space, server performance, query response times and file transmissions. Coordination: Coordinate system changes between Unix System administrators and end users. Ensure timely team communication with other internal teams and clients regarding issues, changes, etc.; construct e-mail notifications and responses to clients and internal team members in a timely manner. Process Improvement: Recommend improvements for distributed system processes and in-house, CA7 and 11 tools to track and improve data processing. Ensures changes are executed according to prioritization protocols with the least amount of business impact to clients. Prevents issues by recognizing potential disruptions or irregularities in the process, resolves and escalates disruptions according to procedures. Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment. Work weekends and nights as required. Provide on-call support as required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent technical training and experience. 5+ years of experience in technology with an operations background in TWS, CA7, TSO, and ISPF. 2+ years of experience working with UNIX Scripting and VI Editor. Must be able to work weekends and nights as required. Must be able to provide on-call support as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities TWS, CA7, TSO, ISPF. AIX. Unix/Linux commands and minimum Shell Scripting VI Editor. Structured Query Language (SQL). YellowBrick. Familiarity with job scheduling tools. Demonstrate broader knowledge of diverse execution platforms including Unix, Mainframe, Windows, Database, Network and Data Security
