Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mail Administrator Level 3, specializing in HCL Domino/Notes, to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have 810 years of overall IT experience with at least 56 years of hands-on expertise in managing HCL Notes Mail Servers at an enterprise level. You will be responsible for maintaining a highly available and secure mail environment, supporting approximately 30,000 clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain HCL Domino Mail Servers and Clients (30,000+) ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of mail routing and server issues.
- Plan and execute Domino server upgrades, migrations, and HCL Traveler Server maintenance.
- Address and resolve escalated mail flow, client/server connectivity, and mailbox access issues.
- Ensure email security including SPF, DKIM, TLS, and integration with antivirus/antispam solutions.
- Implement performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive issue detection.
- Automate administrative tasks using appropriate scripting tools.
- Perform system patching, maintenance, and apply updates after thorough staging and testing.
- Test and validate backups, restore processes, and archiving mechanisms.
- Maintain disk usage, replication health, and effective routing policies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Review system logs, performance metrics, and audit reports to optimize mail environment.
- Proven experience in HCL Domino / Notes Mail Administration (L3)
- Strong knowledge of Mail Server Security Protocols (SPF, DKIM, TLS)
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mail delivery issues and client-server architecture
- Familiar with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience in patch management and change implementation
- Good scripting skills for task automation (PowerShell, Shell, etc.)
- Experience in developing custom database workflows using Domino Designer (preferred)
- Strong communication and incident management skills
- Document standard operating procedures, change records, and technical configurations
Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech (with 23 years experience) or
- Diploma (with 56 years experience).
- Degree/Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication (E&T).
- OEM Certified in Mail Administration Level 3
