Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team. The HSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and the protection of employees, visitors, and the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with regulations.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to raise awareness and promote best practices.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, training records, and permits.
  • Monitor and track HSE performance metrics and provide regular reports to management on trends, areas for improvement, and compliance status.
  • Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and emergency response plans.
  • Stay informed of changes to HSE regulations, standards, and best practices and ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Participate in HSE meetings, committees, and initiatives to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a resource and point of contact for HSE-related inquiries, concerns, and initiatives from employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Thorough understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship.
