Job Description

Role: Lead DB Developer. Looking for senior DB lead of over 8 years experience having experience in GCP, Data Warehousing, data transfer and reporting. Capabilities: Expertise in architecting and implementing highly available and scalable data stores using Google cloud DB technologies, preferably PostgreSql. Design scalable, highly available, and secure databases Configure network and security (Cloud SQL Auth Proxy, CMEK, SSL certificates) Session pooling Assess auditing policies for managed services Ability to design effective schemas to ensure data consistency and reliability. Skilled in performing database installation, upgrades, capacity planning, data migration and performance monitoring across multiple database server architectures/systems. Capability to troubleshoot and respond appropriately to urgent situations and produce quick and effective solutions to database technical problems under pressure. Designing and Redesigning effective ETL solutions. using either custom programming or adopting available ETL tools. Hands on experience in GCP cloud services. Knowledge of Data science is a plus. However though not mandatory, need to have conceptual understanding to coordinate and deal with the personnel from Data science dept. Having GCP Professional Cloud Database Engineer certification is preferred. Responsibilities: Migrate transaction application from NoSQL database to Cloud Spanner. Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements Research and incrementally improve and optimize solutions to data flow across the company. Plan production deployments coordinating with all the teams involved in the process. Work with different project teams to ensure the data collection meets the data standards. Lead the evaluation, proof of concepts, negotiations and selection of products and tools to support data strategy
