Job Description

The Data Analyst works closely with business leaders, managers, staff and vendor to accurately gather and interpret requirements. Perform data analysis to validate the requirements. Perform data profiling to ensure data quality. Maintain data mapping and requirement documents so that they are up-to-date. Solid understanding of US healthcare (Claims, Auths, EMR and the associated data dependencies within) Learn business workflows and their respective systems to be able to align the data with business operations. Has TSQL skills to query MS SQL. Analytical skills to validate and align business requirements with data reality. Ability to follow data through pipelines from application sources to various downstream processes. Need to be able to read and connect data from SQL, structured files, and/or unstructured files. Provide data evidence to support technical requirements and to business stakeholders. Ability to translate business requirements to well-vetted, accurate, and. detailed technical requirement documents for data engineers. Ability to problem solve and investigate data related issues by using TSQL to query data. Self-motivated with critical thinking ability to proactively look for and identify data gaps. Key Skills Experience with troubleshooting data pipelines, data processes, and/or reports. Experience with writing and maintaining technical requirement documentation. Experience with acting as an intermediary between the business analysts/data stewards and data engineers. Responsibilities Create well-vetted and accurate technical requirement documents for data engineers. Analyze the validity of business requirements and work with business analysts to come to a good set of business requirements and valid technical requirement. Profile and monitor data to ensure data quality using TSQL and other tools. Work with Enterprise Data Architect and Data Engineers to provide validity of data models and accuracy of data pipelines by performing data analysis. Perform a Quality Assurance role by validating technical and business requirements against data. Proactively troubleshoot and investigate data gaps and issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
