Database Administrator @ Inlogic Technologies

Job Description

• Installing and upgrading the database server and tools

• Monitoring, allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system.

• Creating primary database storage structures (tablespaces) after application developers have designed an application.

• Creating primary objects (tables, views, indexes) once application developers have designed an application

• Modifying the database structure, as necessary, from information given by application developers

• Enrolling users and maintaining system security

• Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement

• Controlling and monitoring access to the database

• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database via query tunning and reducing long running quires

• Planning for backup and recovery of database information.

• Backing up and restoring the database as necessary.

• Contacting database vendor for technical support

• Generating various reports by querying from database as per need.

• Customer support for environmental issues and maintenance

• Creating data dictionary.

• Normalizing the database.

• Data conversions from different sources
