Sales Officer - Life Insurance

Location: Mumbai (All Areas)

Reports To: Sales Manager

Department: Sales

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join our team as an Insurance Sales Associate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving sales and building relationships with our business partners to achieve mutual goals. You will be responsible for generating leads, processing applications, providing need-based selling support, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
        • Collaborate with Sales Professionals (SPs) to identify and qualify potential leads within the bank branch database.
        • Assist SPs in generating leads through various methods, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media engagement.
        • Log all prospective applications into the system accurately and efficiently.
    • Sales Support and Processing:
        • Guide and motivate SPs throughout the sales process, ensuring timely application submission and adherence to bank and company policies.
        • Verify and process documentation to ensure smooth application flow.
        • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders involved in the sales process.
    • Relationship Building:
        • Cultivate strong relationships with SPs and other bank personnel to foster a collaborative and productive environment.
        • Proactively identify partner needs and provide effective support to achieve individual and team targets.
    • Need-Based Selling:
        • Possess in-depth knowledge of insurance products and their benefits.
        • Actively listen to customer needs and concerns to recommend suitable insurance solutions.
        • Ensure clear and comprehensive product information is conveyed to customers through SPs.
    • Customer Service:
        • Play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing their queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
        • Assist in onboarding new customers and provide ongoing support to maximize policy retention.
    • Reporting and Administration:
        • Accurately track and report daily application logins and other key performance indicators to the Sales Manager.
        • Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

    • Essential:
        • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the insurance industry.
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
        • Strong organizational and time management skills.
        • Proficient in computer operations and data entry.
        • Knowledge of insurance sales concepts and products.
    • Desirable:
        • Experience working within the banking sector.
        • High level of initiative and self-motivation.
        • Well-groomed and confident demeanor.
        • Commitment to ethical and professional conduct.
