Job Description for DevOps
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure (primarily EC2, RDS, and S3)
- Optimize and scale cloud resources for high-traffic applications
- Architect solutions to handle massive scale with optimal performance
- Implement auto-scaling strategies and load balancing solutions
- Optimize CDN configurations with Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, DDoS protection)
- Harden infrastructure and application security across all layers
- Implement security best practices for AWS and Cloudflare configurations
- Manage IAM policies, security groups, and network ACLs
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes
- Implement configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Set up comprehensive monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
- Establish logging and alerting systems (ELK stack, Datadog)
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure issues
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional DevOps experience
- Expert knowledge of AWS services and architecture patterns
- Proven experience scaling large, distributed applications
- Strong background in infrastructure and application security
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, CDN, DDoS mitigation)
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with infrastructure as code
- Familiarity with Linux system administration
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Cloudflare certification
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 compliance
- Programming/scripting skills (Bash, Python)
