Job Summary:

As a Procurement Officer, your primary responsibility will be to manage the organization's procurement processes, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing procurement strategies. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Planning:
    • Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and develop effective procurement plans.
    • To source potential suppliers, products, and services.
    • Assess and anticipate procurement risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  2. Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on criteria such as cost, quality, and reliability.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  3. Contract Management:
    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
    • Monitor and enforce contract terms, including performance, delivery, and payment terms.
    • Evaluate contract performance and recommend improvements.
  4. Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
    • Analyze costs, market trends, and benchmark data to identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Track and report key procurement performance metrics.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
    • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks through effective risk management practices.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records for audit purposes.
