Your field of responsibility Responsibilities This role is responsible for monitoring, controlling and operating complex applications and technical batch processing on mainframe as well as on distributed systems. You will be responsible for: Mainframe Batch Monitoring activities Coordinate and modify schedules for special requests and priority job execution. Analyze and notify the stake holders about special requests and its impact on im-portant batches. Invoke resolution and restart procedures in case of batch jobs failures. Check control tables and condition codes to monitor accurate application executions as defined. Invoke resolution action, execute re-runs, or restart jobs according to operation pro-cedures or customer request. Resolve abnormal terminations and take appropriate actions as per the documented process. Follow the batch execution documentation and notify stake holders as defined by run documentation. Build incident reports for job abnormalities consistent with the Incident Management Process. Produce daily and monthly metrics on batch job executions, abend/defect density, etc. Checking all the queues and ensure batch completion by adhering instructions for operational tools & process compliance. Data backed recommendations for service scalability, capacity, and performance im-provement. Participate in process automation, and batch optimization for respective batch. You Offer To Excel In This Role, You Should Possess To excel in this role, you should possess: 3 6-years experience in IBM Mainframe MVS environment 3 6-years experience on JCL and TSO commands 3 6 years experience in DB2, REXX, VSAM, CICS, BMC tools (e.g., Control/M, Beta92) along with Programming languages as PL/1, COBOL Reporting, data analytics and interpretation experience desirable Should have a good customer handling skill SQL programming experience desirable .net and C# programming knowledge (good to have) Successful candidate should possess the following characteristics Desire to be best in class Willingness to strive for continuous improvement and continuous learning Ability to questions status quo and a passion for driving transformational change Innovative and prepared to try different approach for application benefit.
