Job Description
Role purpose -
Accelya has a diverse and developing infrastructure and this is an opportunity for an experienced Network Architect to help define and build the future of this expanding and evolving infrastructure.
As a Senior Architect you will define, develop and help deliver Accelyas technology roadmap. With a focus on automation, orchestration and transparency it is the role of Accelyas IT Transformation team to bring Accelya to the forefront of infrastructure development.
What will you do?
- Design and optimize Accelyas networks.
- Build robust and resilient networks that will carry us into the future considering scalability, security and performance. Familiar with both traditional on prem architectures along with software and cloud-based solutions
- Cloud Integration and Strategy
- As with many enterprises Accelya is progressing on a cloud migration journey which requires deep knowledge and expertise with various cloud strategies, best practices, providers and technologies.
- Security & Compliance
- Ensuring latest best practices in the areas of network security, data privacy and protection are architected into the foundation of Accelyas network fabric.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Architecting and engineering sufficient telemetry into the network to ensure that Accelya is proactive in any issues that may be occurring.
- In the event that issues occur being the point of escalation for timely and effective resolution.
- Collaboration
- As the network is the foundation of our corporate and customer facing systems this role will work closely with other internal and external partners.
What do you need to know?
- Cloud Related Skills
- Deep level expertise with AWS, Azure and GCP networking components and their integration with corporate networks.
- Expertise with network virtualization in on premise and cloud environments along with facilitation of containerization and micro service-based deployments.
- Cloud based security implementations and related integration to various cloud-based security platforms.
- Knowledge to Administer systems and servers related to LAN and WAN (e.g. email systems, accounts, workstation ID, IP assignments, computers, security, antivirus, spyware, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of services to authorized users
- Knowledge of the infrastructure (hardware, client devices, operating systems, directory services, importance of systems redundancy etc.)
- Good technical understanding of Desktop OS, Server OS, Remote Working methods and their relationships with other systems
- Knowledge of all areas of IT Infrastructure outside of immediate area of specialization (Networking) to an intermediate level (Desktop OS, Windows OS, Client Systems, Directory Systems
- CCNA/CCIE certified is highly beneficial
- Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience required
