What You Will Enjoy In This Role As part of the Epsilon Product Engineering team, the pace of the work matches the fast-evolving demands of Fortune 500 clients across the globe As part of an innovative team thats not afraid to take risks, your ideas will come to life in digital marketing products that support more than 50% automotive dealers in the US The open and transparent environment that values innovation and efficiency As BI Senior Software engineer, you will work with cutting edge technologies, a Greenplum, Pentaho, and Angular based Enterprise Reporting environment. This will involve work with the database, dashboards and business intelligence reports. The role resides within Epsilons Enterprise Reporting (ER) production support team. The BI Senior Software engineer will assist in fixing the issues for reporting and analytics capability for users of the data warehouse. This is the worlds largest warehouse in the automotive marketing / loyalty space and is developed, supported and deployed in a unique onsite offshore, associate-vendor model. What Youll Do The position requires strong Informatica, Unix and Oracle PL/SQL, database knowledge to work on a complex rule based multi-channel marketing campaign platform supporting Fortune 100 companies. Perform maintenance on applications using technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Unix and Informatica. Provide ongoing production support for the automotive marketing platform. Configure and monitor the production system. Communicate with development, product, and account management teams to address issues and concerns. Operate data systems for exporting data to third-party systems. Undertake development work for automating operational tasks. Support system patch or version upgrades. Facilitate the design and implementation process for new products/projects. Develop structures, forms, and outputs based on business and application requirements. Create metrics to assess and improve production support services using continual service improvement methodologies. Collect data and develop metrics to report on performance against defined service level agreements and targets. Analyze deviations from agreed service levels and suggest actions/improvements. Proficiency in Unix shell scripting languages. Qualifications 3-6 years of IT industry experience required. Excellent skills in Informatica ETL. Good knowledge of Unix environment /Oracle PL/SQL. Excellent in impact-analysis and root cause analysis. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to anticipate and avoid problems. Experience in performance tuning, application monitoring and support of production applications with distributed teams. Ability to work well within a team environment that includes geographically distributed team members. Ability to work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and an ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences. Ability to design and build flexible and extensible systems with focus on code reuse and generation. Familiar with Application Development Life Cycle and be able to independently participate in each components. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Technical Working knowledge of Informatica and experience in automotive marketing and/or CRM applications preferred. Strong knowledge in Informatica and UNIX. Basic knowledge of Oracle SQL , PL/SQL. Non-Technical Good Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems quickly to maintain operational stability. Motivated to learn new applications and domain. Possess appetite for learning through exploration and reverse engineering. Strong time management skills. Ability to take full ownership of tasks and projects.
