Role Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager specializing in WTP (Water Treatment Plants), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plants), and STP (Sewage Treatment Plants), you will oversee project execution from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and client satisfaction. You will coordinate with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution within scope, budget, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute WTP/ETP/STP projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate closely with the design, process design, procurement, and construction teams to facilitate smooth project flow.
- Engage with clients, understand their requirements, and provide technical and commercial solutions.
- Prepare and present project proposals, progress reports, and technical presentations to clients and management.
- Conduct internal project reviews, meetings, and coordination sessions to track progress and resolve issues proactively.
- Perform project costing, annual revenue forecasting, and financial analysis of projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Handle procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management.
- Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and permits.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Top Skills for WTP/ETP/STP Project Manager:
- In-depth knowledge of water and effluent treatment plant processes and technologies.
- Strong understanding of applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management (MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate multi-disciplinary activities.
- Financial acumen for project costing, budgeting, and revenue optimization.
- Problem-solving mindset with proactive risk management capabilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, process simulation software, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with vendor management and procurement strategies.
- Familiarity with automation systems, SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation relevant to WTP/ETP/STP projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's / Master - Mechanical Engineer, Automation, Intrumentation Engineer
- Proven track record of managing WTP/ETP/STP projects of significant scale and complexity.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
