Location : Hyderabad (Hybrid Mode)

Python & FastAPI Lead Architect Microservices | AWS | Vertica
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Lead and Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, high-performance microservices using FastAPI on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in handling large-scale data processing with Vertica, and a strong background in architecting distributed systems and leading engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology lead With Handson experience of the development of microservices-based applications using Python and FastAPI.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Build and optimize data pipelines and services that interact with large datasets in Vertica.
- Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and observability through monitoring and logging.
- Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
- Strong experience in designing and deploying microservices architectures.
- Proficiency in AWS services and cloud-native application design.
- Deep understanding of Vertica or similar columnar databases for large-scale data processing.
- Experience with AWS ECS, Fargate, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.
